The next day we decided to meet at the Sacred Heart Basilica in Paris. Everyone else in the world had the same idea, because it is beautiful and has a great view of Paris.
With a lot of people come a lot of thieves/scammers. It was a little bit frightening how aggressive some of them were. The skills of looking like you 'are disagreeable', 'know what you are doing
, 'are in a hurry', and 'uninterested in every other living person' are important to have in tourists traps such as Sacre le Cour. Kyndall and I made it out alright, the Aussie next to us on the stairs did not.
So many people:
The Sacre le Cour is relatively new (~100 years). The artwork was really vivid in color and the building's design was more modern and open than older cathedrals/basilicas.
The best part was the giant Jesus mural on the wall and ceiling of the dome. From the pews, the perspective was incredibly realistic. Although Jesus' head is actually on a near horizontal part of the roof -from the pews- it looks like he is standing perfectly straight up:

We then got breakfast, which was a buckwheat pancake with a fried egg on top:
We then went to go look for the Hunchback. Again, everyone else in the world had this same idea. We passed on standing in line for hours and instead took a self-guided walking tour of the outside:
PJPII:
We then went out to get more food, meet with one of Russ' friends from Argentina, and then to a Jazz bar with live music. It was a good time although the music was quite loud.
