Fun Fun Fun auf die Autobahn

Due to construction, the local highway was closed:

Will and I checked it out:

We then went to the palace to check out the crazy party rooms:

And go into the historical museum that is in the basement. I had been before, but this time it was nice because I could read the exhibits and translate them for Will.  This was also really hard on the spirits.  The history of Saarland through the wars was quite a lot to take in.  And it was just as difficult imagining the people who had to suffer through the Gestapo prison that was in the basement (not pictured).

After history, we rode the bikes home. We decided to stop for Flame-cake, the French/German version of pizza.  We also ate white asparagus, which people go nuts for.  It was good.

but it disappeared fast:
Nobody know where it went:

And then it rained like crazy:

We almost froze to death, so we decided to Sauna. I had to switch out my usual Nora Jones CD for Pink Floyd- it seemed less weird.
